Poem # 9 November 30
The Snicker
Pounding feet on that tile floor
Reaching arms for that "Pot of Gold."
Longing eyes full of want.
The Little Child whined
Jumping up and down
Driving people crazy
Laying on the cold wet tile
Embarrassed parents reddened faces.
Handing the child the bowl of Ice Cream.
Tears disapprearing from those bright blue eyes.
The Child Slightly Snickered.
Poem # 8 November 30
Grass
Life is like that grass outside
So Green so bright not ready to die.
Grass gets stomped on,
Mowed,
Pulled out,
Turns Yellow Turns Brown
How happy the sound.
Of this wonderful grass
It Never complains
Even as water comes down and rains.
We must act as Grass you see,
Keep moving on and stay happy.
For if you get plucked out, Don't die,
Just take a breath and slightly sigh.
Look back and laugh for life is Good,
And continue your days as you should.#
Poem # 7 November 12
Hmmm?
I often wonder
ponder
whats beyond those
white cotton balls in the sky
the clouds.
often elephants emerge
even snakes sometimes
slithering across the sky.
So far away from this giant rock we call earth.
Whats below earth?
The questions roll on
What a mystery this universe is.
Poem #6 November 12
Evolution
I know where I came from,
It's Adam and Eve.
Not Evolution, as scientists believe
Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden,
But then ate the fruit and had to get leav'n.
O! Give me a break!
Evolutions so fake!
It's so easy to see,
We didn't come from monkeys!
Just open your eyes
Evolutions full of Lies.
Poem #5 November 12
Hot Chocolate
Amy and I
We like to swich it up.
Lemonade Lemonade!
Ha! That's for Losers.
Hot Chocolate Hot Chocolate!
That's for Moneymakers.
Frigidly Cold on this corner we sat,
Selling Hot Chocolate to all thosed passed.
Snow flakes start filling our small tp shack.
There we sit With our pathetic little sign.
Awaiting for people to form a long line.
Poem #4 November 12
The Ghost
One O'clock
Two O'clock.
I run in circles Frantically,
Searching for a place to hide
So I'm not the Ghost.
The Ghost that searches for the Hidden,
Hiding in the Dark.
Only a Flashlight can be seen
Waving left and right
As I crouch in this wooden box,
high above the ground,
I can only hear my heart,
It's thumping like a drum.
"I see you, i see you!"
A little voice shouts out.
I slip right down the slide,
because its now my turn
to be the ghost.
Poem #3 November 10
Colors
I sit down and I think
What Color am I?
Purple or Blue,
Orange, Red?
I come to the conclusion,
Purple, thats Me.
Lavender
I'm mellow with energy
Easy-going, chill.
Not only am I purple though
I'm Orange as well
Citrus.
Bright, full of life
Shining like the Sun.
A tornado of purple and orange
Is what creates
A One of a Kind.
Me.
Poem #2 November 10
Goal
Futbol? Soccer?
Whats the difference?
A futbol, a soccer ball
Both round
Black, white
Perfect hexagons
Just waiting to be plowed
By a foot.
Only to reach its long lost home.
A roar of cheers emerges
As the ball arrrives home
GOAL!
Poem #1 November 10
Leaves
They flow with the wind
Up high in the tress
Green and Full of Life
Then, the cold sufficates them.
Turning them brown
Like a rusted nail
Sucking the very life from them.
Hopeless, slowly dying
The Leaves Fall.
One by One.
Thats life,
For a Leaf.

wiki 5 20/20 - by "little ledge" are you talking about the pulpit?? :-) I never thought about it as a little ledge before, how interesting that it should strike you that way! Good review.
Week 5 Novemeber 4- Pastor Shade
This sunday i went to church at immanuel St. charles. I had never been into the church before so i was kind of surprised when the pastor stared speaking. Allow me to explain, when he first began his sermon i could not figure out where he was speaking from because he was on a little ledge to the side. I thought it would be pretty difficult to speak without being able to move around much. I thought he did a very good job on using the space he had. I noticed he used a lot of hand gestures intead of walking around like many other people do. He did a good job on getting the message across by connecting to much of the audience. He did not appear nervous at all and seemed like he was quite confident as he spoke. I think he had a good sermon but it was kind of hard to pay attention because the church service was pretty long. Overall i think that Pastor Shade did a good job getting his message across to the audience.
wiki 4 - 20/20 - good posting. I felt sorry for him having to compete with a bird for the kids' attention.
Week 4 october 28-Pastor Clausing
I think that Pastor Clausing is a pretty good speaker. I think that he does a good job on getting the attention of his listeners. For example, i think he is a very casual speaker so it is easier for me to pay attention. But today, i have to admit i didnt pay as much attention at all becuase there was a bird flying around in the gym. I dont know if Pastor Clausing noticed but if he did he did a very good job on waving it off as if nothing was happening. I think that it would be hard to not notice someting like that especiallly when the entire chapel audience is watching the bird fly across the gym. I noticed also that when he speaks he often has the same hand gestures over and over and that can get pretty distacting. But over all i think that his tone of speaking and the way he set up the chapel was a success.
wiki 3 - 20/20 - good job... his name is Vicar Mizel. You're right.. he needs to work on his gestures.
week 3 october 19 chapel speaker from today. i dont know his name..
I think that todays chapel speaker was a kind of interesting speaker. I found it a bit difficult to pay attention because of his hand gestures. Thrrough his entire chapel he had his arms bent and would just flick out his wrists every five seconds. I found it so distracting. He only bent his arms once throughout the entire chapel and i have to admit it drove me crazy. But enought bad, so the good things that the chapel speaker did was show eye contact. I think he definetly made a connection to every area of the gym. Its kind of difficult to do so since our chapel seating goes all the way around but i think he balanced his speaker pretty good. He expressed his message well and seemed interested on his topic, alothough i do not completely remember what is was about just that "get out of your boat" because i honestly was way to distracted from his hand gestures.
wiki 2 - 20/20 great job! Good points made!
October 16. Week Two. Chapel by Mr. Kulhman
I think that Mr. Kuhlman was a very good speaker. He walked back and forth a lot but i think taht it was a good thing because then he was able to make eye contact with everyone which is hard to do since teh seating almost wraps behind him. He did a good job speaking clearly and i have to say i found it hard to stop paying a attention to him. He connected very welll i think with everyone. I think that he did a good job in getting peoples attention from the begining. When he asked people what different talents we had it wasa way to not only get his helpers involved but as well as the rest of the audience. He appeared very confidenet as he was speaking and did not lose track at all. I think he memorzied what he was going to talk about becuase everything seemed to flow very well.
wiki 1 20/20 - great response work! Just out of curiousity... who is Joel Osteen and where did you hear him speak?-joel osteen is a religious speaker i saw him on youtube.
October 6,2009 Week one. Speech by Joel Osteen
As he was speaking i noticed that it appears that he has good eye contact with the crowd. Also he uses the stage very well, by walking around. But at times i found his walking a bit distractive. I thought the setting of the the place was distracting as well. He uses alot of arm and hand gestures too, i think that this probably helps him release some nerves especially since he speaks in such a large crowd. His voice seems to flow well and it appears that he does not lose interest in his topic which makes it appealing to us viewers. He definetly acts confident when he speaking on stage. He seems excited about his message. He is constatnly showing enthusiasm as he is speaking and he stays connected to many of his listeners. His message was definetly organized. He didnt seem to get stuck in the middle of sentences at any point. I think that Joel Osteens talent of public speaking can be decieving especially since his message does not contain all the necessary content to help people.

You are off to a great start Samy! Be sure to edit spelling when you post them here... I am assuming you'll come back and do that on your own. For now, I want you to know your imagery is going great - I especially like the lines about the cold "suffocating the leaves" and the Soccer ball "finding its lost home".
