Poem 1:

Colors of Me

I'm a volcano that is about to explode.

Bam! I'm hot pink!

I'm the energizer bunny

     who loves to have fun.

Once you get to know me,

i am blue like the ocean,

     calm and carefree.

Being content and happy is what i do best.

I'm hot pink most everyday,

but somedays i need a rest.

Poem 2:

Christmas Memories

Waking up when it's still dark,

     too excited to sleep,

soft, white snow is falling down,

we would run downstairs to take a peek.

Ornaments we made,

     cover the Christmas tree

     and the presents underneath,

that we aren't suppose to see.

The sun is slowly rising

we wake up mom and dad

     and even though it's early,

there is no way they can be mad.

Christmas smells fill the air,

     excitement all around

and even though we're older now,

memories of Christmas are always found.

Poem 3:

A Colorful Life

Life is like a coloring book.

It starts off fresh and new.

The pages are empty, unused,

ready to be brought to life.

The pictures are only outlines,

     of what could be.

It is made it's own by the colors used to fill the page.

Even though coloring books can have the same pictures,

no two books are ever colored the same way.

Poem 4:

A Best Friend

Thinking back from time to time,

     it's hard to forget,

     the times we spent together

were the best you could bet.

The summer days were not enough,

the many trips to the lake.

Laughing and playing in the sun all day,

is something we could not fake.

We would hangout all day long,

     the many things we did.

We said best friends forever,

but it only was a fib.

Now that we have grown,

we don't really have the time.

We both are different people

     and that is honestly fine.

Poem 5:

Stop Light

He sat there,

     gripping the wheel tightly.

His face pale,

     his eyes wide open,

staring at the red light.

His hands shaking,

     pale skin sweating,

knowing he might not make it in time.

The light turns green

     and he is gone.
