wiki 5 14/20 - It was pretty funny... and I am afraid it was largely due to the events of this week in many ways. You're right though, it worked as a speech topic and he did do a great job with it and kept a straight face throughout the whole speech. (This entry, however, isn't close to 200 words.)

Today John dattilo did a speech on cole bagby, he had very good use of eye contact with the audience,he did a very good job with grabbing the audiences aattention right away, his speech was not only really funny but he related to cole bagby to god , and how he does good in foootball and if god was in human form john said he'd picture him being ripped and really good at foot ball just like cole bagby.

The public speaker that grabbed my attention this week was mr. stec in chapel , he comes forward loud and too the point right away so he can grab us (the audience) attention.  He told us he was going to talk about sex , which grabbed everyones attention right away,  another good thing he usually usees is visual thighs like powerpoint , music videos, and audio sessoions where he reads the scripture its just easier to listen to and let it sink in

I thought the speeches we watched on youtube in class were very interesting.  They gave me ideas on different approaches to succeed in a public speech.  The Taylor Malli guy was also very interesting he is very good at what he does becuase while he is making his points he uses gestures and is funny at the same time to draw the audience into what he has to say.  Also Ron Paul was another good speaker he had five minutes to talk and he used every second to make his points and opinions very good.  I think it was a good idea to show us these couple speakers so you could give us the ideas of how to give a speech properly by being loud enough , good eye contact , and good gestures while giving the speech , and by showing us two really good speakers like these , helped us see how its like to use good public speaking tools, thank you.

week 5

I think hughs is very talented and knew what he was doing in his writings and poetry.  His poetry is my favorite out of any other poets writings becuase he can have this evil sense , and he can make chills run through your spine,  He was very very creative with all of his poetry.  Hughs writing was also magnificent as far as books go, im not a huge fan of reading books but his books sorta like grab you and you just cant put them down sometimes.  hughs was very multi talented , he had some very special gifts.

I enjoyed class this week becuase i had a chance too get alot of my home work caught up becuase of the study hall days.  discussion today was also very interesting , it was about whether it is wrong or right too cover up a lie , and the stories that were told in calss were very interesting , there reall life scenarios and are tragic , and could happen to any of us at any time.

week 4

the finish of Patsy Barnes is all about prejudging , no body can make it and be successfull as a colored , school drop out trying to raise horses. but hes determined too do what he loves.  The power of the end of the story was very strong because he did wat he had too do , and he wasn't all about winning but proud of himself that he was accomplishing what he wanted too do.  You must want to do what you accomplish or it means nothing if you go get a degree for teaching but you hate kids you'll never make it through , you'll never me successfull in teaching.

I really liked class this week i got a B on my essay which boosted my confidence because i usually am really bad at essays, i think its really easy too follow along in class and the stories we read arent the most interesting stories but there deffiantely readable.

I think usher II was more of a horror than a scifi.  Because he uses all strange events and hints in while hes telling the story.  he uses clues and has a good mind set on the type of story he wrote too just like poe did.  I wouldn't say its better because in my opinion this one was taken from the original one therefore cant be better than the original work.( Interesting point!)  But i also do like how he used other stories and the way people died in this story was very very clever.  Bradbury also made readers interested because he had them fooled most of the time but then a moment later things changed drastically.

IN the story there will come soft rains bradbury leaves to are imagination that the house is reall living thing. with breakfast waiting on the table , the house is always very very clean,  he leads us to believe the house is some sort of mom.  since it takes care of most things.  You can also infer that the house doesn't like the dog since it is starving , my opinion is that the house is some sort of clean freak and most dogs arent the cleanest things in the world so the house refused to take care of it.

I think the story <sorry but which story are you talking about here?> was very predictable,  my predictions of the end of the story was the mom came home and punished the son by smacking him and sending him too his room for the night.  Then the mom and dad ended up getting into a big fight because he kept things from the mother , which resulted in the dad storming back and not coming home for the night, he came back the next morning coming too find out the mom still didnt want anything too do with him anymore.  The son realized what he did too his parents relationship and tried to fix things but they were already too far away from each other that it did no good. The parents ended up separating because of the sons actions , the son felt really guilty and ashamed of himselt that he felt that he had too fix things so he collected his thoughts and came up with a plan to get his parents back together , he worked reall hard for weeks and finally the parents decided that it would be too hard on the kid too split apart because of the son so they squashed there beef with each other and got back together.

Good start on wiki 2, but you need TWO entries per week.  10/20 pts.
